Disney's about to crack open The Jungle Book again. The studio behind the 1967 animated adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic book is developing a live-action retelling.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and Supermax screenwriter Justin Marks has been tapped to script the reboot. No producers are attached yet, but a search is on for a director.
Meanwhile, Warmer Bros. is also developing their own live-action film from Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves since The Jungle Book is in the public domain.
