Nintendo revealed details of Wii U social integration with the 3DS hit Animal Crossing: New Leaf in its latest Nintendo Direct this morning, including a new Miiverse Community and Animal Crossing Plaza.
Alongside the announcement-focused community, the Wara Wara-style Animal Crossing Plaza will let you interact with animals and other players around the world via your Mii, receive news of upcoming events and view global messages.
Nintendo is also implementing a service that will allow you to import, organize and post in-game photos (by inserting your 3DS SD card into the Wii U and accessing the data), and scan QR codes for your game. The service will be free to download, and will last until the end of 2014.
