During today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced a launch date of October 4th for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.
The HD remake boasts a total graphical overhaul and some minor gameplay tweaks - you can sail faster, the Wind Waker wand itself is easier to use to control the winds, and the much-maligned collection-heavy latter third of the game has been adjusted. It'll be available from the eShop as well as in stores.
There's no word yet on a specific North American release date, but we can safely assume it won't be far off.
