Disney's D23 Expo happens this weekend, and fans are hoping/expecting some news will come out of it -- perhaps even, fingers crossed, an official Star Wars casting announcement. We'll see if that happens or not, but it looks like we can expect "something weird" from Marvel and Disney at the very least.
The D23 site posted the following image and message today in advance of the event:
"This weekend, only at the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts pavilion during D23 Expo 2013, ask for something WEIRD and get your first look at an all-new project coming from Marvel and Disney!"
So what is this hinting at? There was a movie project in the works at Disney a few years back called The Museum of the Weird which was based on a theme-park attraction that never happened at the company. We haven't heard about the film since 2010, but perhaps it's been revived? Though that doesn't seem to fit with Marvel's involvement … unless there's going to be a comics aspect to the project.
We'll know soon enough as D23 starts this Friday…
