Captain America is a defender of the U.S. of A. -- and the world. But what he really wants to do is… direct!
Deadline reports that Cap star Chris Evans has lined up his feature directorial debut with a film called 1:30 Train. He'll also star in and produce the film, with production slated for this fall before he goes back to the realm of Marvel for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
"The film is a romance in the vein of Richard Linklater’s Before Sunrise," says the site, "focusing on two strangers who meet in Manhattan and spend one night together as the conflicts in their own lives become the basis for their exploration of each other and themselves."
Good for Evans. He's in a position now to explore new career frontiers and he's making that happen for himself. After all, he's not going to be Captain America forever.
