ABC have released a ton of new photos from their highly anticipated Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The photos are all from the set of the pilot - a combination of images from scenes from the first episode, cast members posing on set and behind-the-scenes photos of the crew, including co-creators Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen and their fellow executive producers Jeph Loeb and Jeffrey Bell.
Of interest to fans will be several new photos of Cobie Smulders, who guest stars as her Avengers character Maria Hill in the pilot, plus the first official images of Whedon's Angel alum, J. August Richards, who appears as a superpowered character. ABC have also released a photo of another Whedon alum, Firefly's Ron Glass, who appears in the pilot. So don't worry, Ming-Na Wen, it's okay you accidentally mentioned him when I interviewed you at Comic-Con (see above), since ABC aren't keeping it a secret! Another new character is also shown in the photos, played by Shannon Lucio (The O.C., Prison Break).
