Watch Whore of the Orient Leaked Gameplay Footage

Footage showing gameplay from Whore of the Orient – the next project from Brendan McNamara, the creator of LA Noire – has surfaced online.

Obtained from a "trusted source" by VideoGamer.com, the one minute long clip gives a taste of the game's open world, Eastern setting, and some of the game's core mechanics.  

The chase sequence and shooting mechanics are redolent of LA Noire, despite the change in location, but this isn't perhaps surprising since the game was worked on by many of the remaining Team Bondi staff, the studio behind LA Noire.

Warner Bros. was briefly attached as the game's publisher, but dropped out late last year. It's rumoured that production on the game has been officially suspended since April, as the game searches for a new publisher.

When speaking about the project, McNamara described the project as "one of the great untold stories of the 20th Century."
